Gregory Scott Austin

Gregory Scott Austin, of Thornton, passed away at the hospital in Groesbeck on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at age 55.

Gregory was born September 19, 1965 in Fort Worth, TX to Ronnie Kyle Austin and Ruby Inez (Williams) Austin.    He grew up in North Richland Hills and graduated from Richland High School in 1985.

Gregory moved to Thornton (Lake Limestone) at the time his parents moved there and had worked many years as a stocker at Brookshires, until his disability retirement.

Gregory was an avid hunter and fisherman and really enjoyed going deep-sea fishing with his nephew, Steven.

Gregory was preceded in death in 2018 by his mother Ruby and in February 2021 by his father, Ronnie Austin. 

He is survived by his brother, Roger Kyle Austin and Roger’s partner Sarah of Crowley; brother and sister-in-law, Bryan O’Neal Austin and Vivian of Seattle, WA; and brother Russell Eugene Austin of Thornton; and by nephews and niece, Steven Austin, Alyssy Austin, Joshua Austin and Brandon Austin; and great nephews, Rylan Walker Austin and Alex Conner Austin.
