Guadalupe Alfaro, of the Big Hill community, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife of 67 years, his children and grandchildren.
Lupe was born in Salinas Victoria, N.L., Mexico to Robustiano and Nicolasa Alfaro. He was raised in Mamulique, N.L., Mexico, where he met his soulmate, Isabel Nino. They were united in marriage in 1954 and moved back to Texas. Via, his father in-law, Felipe Nino, he met the Lowes and Alewines. Lupe and his family settled down in the Big Hill Community. There he raised his children, many of his grandchildren and some of the great-grandchildren (they were his life). He was proceeded, in death by his parents Robustiano and Nicolasa Alfaro, daughter Conchita Alfaro, grandson David Elmore, great-grandson Greyson Alfaro, brothers Marcelo Alfaro, Evaristo Alfaro, Roberto Alfaro, sisters Socorro Alfaro-Casas and Micaela Alfaro-Lerma, father-in-law Felipe Nino, mother-in-law Nicolas Hernandez, brothers-in-law Juan Nino, Santos Casas, Julian Lerma, Jesus Lomas, Fernando Lomas, Arsenio Lomas and sisters-in-law Benita Nino Ruiz, San Juanita Nino-Contreras, Marcelina Alfaro and Margarita Alfaro.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Isabel Alfaro, children Jesse Alfaro, Arturo and Martha Alfaro, Buster and Lydia Alfaro, Juan and Lucina Alfaro, Felipe Alfaro, Lupita Alfaro, Jerry Alfaro and Cynthia Cantu, Nicky Alfaro-Kenas, Frances Alfaro and Paul Boyd, Belle and Eli Ontiveroz and Ricky Haston, grandchildren Adam and Charlie Alfaro, Roverto and Dania Alfaro, Angelo and Margaret Alfaro, Hollie Alfaro, Ryan Alfaro, Leslie Alfaro, Sunshine Alfaro Elmore, Dulce and Alex Corral, Juan F. Alfaro, Bonnie and Nathanial Burns III, Josie Alfaro and Umbaldo Ojeda, Joshua and Katherine Alfaro, Caleb and Kat Alfaro, Evie Alfaro, Kourtney Alfaro, Mercedes and Matthew Duncan, Noah Paniagua and Desi Bullard,William and Kate Kenas, Royce Kenas, Tomi and Erik Giese, Brett and Jordan Haston, Wyatt Haston, Myrah Ontiveroz and Caleb White, Alexis and Cam McDugall, Whitney and Coby West, Eliberto and Emma Ontiveroz, great-grandchildren, Adam Alfaro, Jr., Fernando Alfaro, Adrian Alfaro, Anthony Alfaro, Ashley Alfaro, Prince Alfaro, Lupe Alfaro, Zolyan Alfaro, Bella Rugar, Marley Duncan, Max Corral, Jax Rodriguez, Natleigh Burns, Alexis Burns, Aireanna Burns, Nathaniel Burns IV, Darrien Degnide, Kyla Degnide, Kloe Degnide, Lyle Alfaro, Elsie Alfaro, Wes Kenas, Easton Kenas, Gunner Salazar, Morgan Giese, Elliott Giese, Brandt Haston, Alyia Pickett, Kinley and Brooklyn Paniagua, brothers Toribio and Rosa Alfaro, Delfino Alfaro, brothers-in-law Ramon Lomas and Sergio Lomas, sisters-in-law Dora Nino, Elivia Alfaro, Tomasa Lomas, Lidia Lomas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our Daddy was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The void left in our hearts is filled with beautiful memories. We will miss you Daddy and until we see you again.
A Rosary will be recited at 6 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel and visitation following until 8 PM.
A graveside service followed with The Rite of Committal will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Big Hill Cemetery with Father Pius Mathew officiating.
