James Roland Dingler was born March 19, 1965, to Mary and Karl Dingler and his siblings are Chuck Dingler, Sheriff Dingler and Rejeana Dingler. He has been married to Tobi Dingler for the past 24 years and he has four loving children, Brandon Dingler, Josh Dingler, Brianna Barkouskie and Corey Gatter. He has five grandchildren he loves very much.
Roland was a very giving person; anything somebody needed he was your man. He would stop and help any stranger who needed help…like one time he stopped and helped an older gentleman out with a flat tire; when the gentleman insisted that Roland to take money, which he refused, the gentleman followed him to a restaurant where Roland was going and sneaked in to give that money to a waitress to paid for their dinner.
Roland loved being the center of attention, because when he had your attention you better believe he was going to make you laugh. No matter the subject or situation, he could turn it into a comic routine and have you crying with laughter. He always had a smart-ass comeback to anyone without blinking an eye.
Roland loved many people, whether it be a family member or someone he just met; they were all his friends and he would treasure their friendship for years to come. He felt like every one of his friends brought that one special thing to his life. Roland was loved by many, and he loved each and every one of you that touched his life.
Roland had a love for animals that was unheard of. When he was younger, he would always be bringing an animal home that he found on the side of the road. Many times, he would stop the car if he saw a snake in the road, get out of the car and move the snake off the road.
One of Roland’s favorite things to do was on Sunday morning, to crank up the music…as to wake everyone…while he was cooking breakfast. He wanted the music loud until everyone came to join him. It would take him two hours to cook that breakfast because he was too busy dancing around to the music playing. But, once the food was done, you could feel the love he put into that meal, and fun was had by all.
Roland passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Windsor Healthcare Residence with his wife by his side. A memorial is pending currently, following cremation.
