Jasper Bilbrey, Jr., 81, beloved Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and Son, was called to his eternal resting place on February 26, 2025.
Graveside services were held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Faulkenberry Cemetery.
Jasper entered this world on July 8, 1943, in Belton, TX, born to Jasper and Laura Bilbrey.
He spent most of his life driving and working on trucks - loving all things chrome. As he aged, he devoted himself and his time to his children and being a Papaw - claiming Monday as "Papaw Day" with his grandson Jasper. His time surrounded by those he loved is what he cherished most.
He found the Lord and began their relationship in 2015. Thanks to bosses that became the closest friends, Sonny was able to cruise to Mexico in 2020. He began rebuilding an 18-wheeler with his son Danny and spent much of his time with him. Recently, he went on a road trip with Dee and her family and was able to see the Grand Canyon for the first time from a helicopter.
We believe one of his greatest achievements is how well he loved us all, as he truly did it relentlessly and with his whole heart.
Jasper was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Laura Williams; son Bobby Bilbrey; daughter Mellissa Goldsmith; and his siblings.
He is survived by his son Danny Bilbrey; daughter Dee and son-in-law Corey Thompson; their children Emery, Jasper, and Jaxon Thompson; daughter-in-law Nancy Bilbrey; granddaughter Barbara Smith; great-grandson Braxton Whitely; grandson Darrell Bilbrey and family; grandson Frankie Bilbrey and family; granddaughter Lezlie Smith and family; daughter Patricia; along with many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
