Julia Madison Black (Jewels or JuJu to those closest to her) passed away tragically in a car accident on September 11, 2022.
Julia was born January 6, 2003, in Houston, to James Alex Black, Jr. and Shannon Jean (Bridges) Black and was the middle child of four siblings.
She looked forward to shopping days with older brother, Jacob; loved dance lessons with sisters, Morgan and Meghan; and 4-wheeling with youngest brother, Joshua. She loved being Bentley’s JuJu and spent hours playing cars and trains with him.
Julia enjoyed spending time with her dad helping him install cabinets and watching Seinfeld. Jewels and her momma shared many afternoons in the kitchen baking cakes and cookies and she thoroughly enjoyed being a “mommy” with her momma.
Julia was our princess and she loved anything girly. It was not uncommon, when she was little, to see her in Home Depot with her dad dressed in a princess dress wearing high heels. Her favorite Disney character was Olaf and her family never missed an opportunity to spoil her with anything related to Olaf.
Julia made many friends while working for various businesses in the Kosse and Mexia area and will leave behind many cherished memories. She was known for her glorious red hair, bubbly personality, and beaming smile that lit up the room.
Julia was deeply passionate about what she loved, saw the good in everybody, was very trustworthy and dependable, and always had a smile. There are no words to describe how much our beautiful Julia will be missed.
Julia leaves behind her grieving parents, James and Shannon Black; two brothers, Jacob and Joshua Black; two sisters, Morgan and Meghan Black; and her nephew, Bentley Black, whom she loved being his aunt. She leaves behind grandparents, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Our sincere hope to all who knew and loved Julia is to take a moment in your busy days ahead and to celebrate the cherished memories you have of our Julia, feel her presence, and remember our beautiful, always smiling girl.
At this time, a memorial service has not been planned. We want to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have sent their prayers, sympathies, and gifts of food.
