Kyle was born September 15, 1985, in Waco to Michael Lee Wietzikoski and Dawna Jeanette (Campbell) Wietzikoski. He grew up and went to school in Groesbeck. He enjoyed participating in High School Rodeo in team roping and won saddles and buckles on his horse “Joe,” and he continued roping after high school years.
As an adult, Kyle worked as a welder in the construction industry and worked for Craig Champion in the Bryan-College Station area for a number of years. He resided in Navasota with long-term partner, Kristy Lynn Pierce, and in March 2008, they welcomed their son, John Louis Pierce III. John Louis was Kyle’s pride and joy, and he never failed to speak of his son with anyone he talked to.
Kyle was a very hard worker, even as a young teenager. He purchased his first truck at age 15 with money he earned from working. He had a big heart and would help his family or friends anytime they called on him, without hesitation.
Kyle loved animals, especially dogs and horses, and he enjoyed taking care of them and spending time working with the horses. He was very honest, sometimes too honest, and would often tell you things you really didn’t want to hear. Kyle was a man of his word and would do his best to keep his promise. He made friends easily, and all who knew him loved him. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his both sets of grandparents, Raymond and Barbara Wietzikoski and Milton and Frances Campbell; his father Mike Wietzikoski; and the grandfather of his son, John Louis Pierce, II.
He is survived by his mother, Dr. Dawna Campbell of Groesbeck; son, John Louis Pierce, III of College Station; sister, Anjela Wietzikoski of Groesbeck; brother, Chris Wietzikoski of Dallas; the mother of his son, Kristy Lynn Pierce of Navasota; and the grandmother of his son, Carolyn Pierce of College Station.
He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Reagan of Groesbeck; Elana Campbell of Mexia; Dennis Campbell of Thornton; and Kenneth and Karen Wietzikoski of Groesbeck; niece, Taylor Lenamond of Groesbeck and her two children, Ayden Jones and Ava Browning of Groesbeck; nephews, Braydon Sexton of McGregor and Brendon Bellah of Groesbeck; as well as numerous cousins and other extended family members that loved Kyle.
