Mary Ann Morgan

Mary Ann Morgan, of Groesbeck, passed into eternal rest on Monday, January 17, 2022, at age 65, after a long battle with COPD.

Arrangements are pending at this time for a Memorial service to celebrate her life.

Mary Ann was born on April 7, 1956, to Joseph Henry Sims and Clarice Amy (Turner) Sims in De Queen, Arkansas.    She grew up and attended school in Horatio, AR.

Mary Ann lived in Arkansas most of her life, where she raised her two daughters.   She cooked in numerous restaurants during her life and loved to cook as long as her health permitted.    She was a Christian and loved her family.   She also liked her animals - cats and her daughter’s family dog.

Mary Ann moved to Waco to be with her daughter Shar’s family about 10 years ago, and they recently moved to Groesbeck.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Joe Sims.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shar and Danny Wyatt of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Adele and Cliff Tadlock of Ponchatoula, LA; three grandchildren: Will Tadlock and wife Amber of LA, Katlyn Tadlock of LA, and Karsyn Haley of China Spring; and two great grandchildren, Myles Malone and Evelyn Ann Thorp.  She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Reita and Ronald Lofland of Horatio, AR; brother, Roy Dale Daniels; sister-in-law, Debrah Sims of Broken Bow, OK; and 5 nephews, Michael Shane Lofland, Darren Dwayne Lofland, James Matthew Lofland, Joseph Mailon Lofland and Eric Lee Sims; as well as other extended family.
