Michael Owen Green

Michael Owen Green of Thornton passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Limestone Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 3 :30 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Old Union Cemetery under the pavilion with Rev. Bill Sutton officiating. 

Michael was born April 22, 1941 in Salem , IL to Ed and Edith (Fisher) Green.  He graduated Mexia High School in the class of 1959.  After High School he attended Southwest Texas University in San Marcus earning a Bachelor’s Degree.  Michael then went on to work for Texas Parks & Wildlife for several years, Comanche Peak nuclear power plant as an environmental specialist and most recently with Brazos Valley Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Michael is survived by his wife, Patsy Green of Thornton; daughter, Terri Strickler of Weatherford, Michael Scott Green of Austin and Edgar John Green of Thornton; two grandchildren, Logan Michael Strickler and wife Nia of Weatherford and Steven Deluna and wife Ashley of Granbury; great granddaughter, Marley Fae Deluna of Granbury.
