Ola Mae Webster of Groesbeck passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Marlin.
Visitation will be held prior to graveside services on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Groesbeck Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at Fort Parker Cemetery’s Pavilion with Rev. Tracy Sims officiating.
Ola Mae was born on August 15, 1935 to Wilton and Ollie (Dossey) Lummus in the LaSalle Community in Limestone County. She grew up in the LaSalle Community and also in Conroe. She met John Jr. in Groesbeck and they were married June 16, 1951 where they grew their family in and around the Groesbeck area. Ola Mae was a member of the Groesbeck Chapter of the Eastern Star #810 and Victory Baptist Church of Groesbeck.
She never knew a stranger and gave her love to all she knew. Ola Mae was known to most as Aunt Ola Mae, Mama or Nanny; related or not, they were hers. Her last few years have been spent with a new family, the staff of Golden Years Nursing Home.
Ola Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Webster, Jr.; daughter, Betty Jean Noel, Grandson, Christopher Noel and sister, Royce Jean Walton.
She is survived by her brother who was raised by her and John Jr. as a son, Lucky Wade Lummus and wife Terri of Arlington; daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Bizzell and husband Jimmy of Edinburg, Jo Nell Reason and husband Jim Cone of Mart and Molly Cox and husband Richard of Bastrop; sons and daughters-in-law, John Webster and wife Tonya of Groesbeck and Odis Webster and wife Angie of Groesbeck; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way.
