Patricia Ann Bruski of Kosse, passed away at Scott and White Hospital in Temple on Friday, March 15, 2019 during a heart procedure, at age 77.
Patricia was born June 2, 1941 in Wharton, TX. to Henry Edward Fraley and Letitia Clark Fraley. Her parents travelled all over the world in the oil business while she was growing up but Texas was home. Patricia graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in 1959.
Some years later Patricia and her one-year daughter moved to Montana where her parents were living. She obtained her beautician license and worked in a beauty shop while they lived in Montana. Ten years later, they moved to Houston, and Patricia worked at the Harris County Courthouse, in the Civil Court office.
Patricia and her parents moved to Kosse in 1991. Patricia and her father owned and operated the First Stop in Bremond for the next sixteen years, and she drove from Bremond to Kosse every day, until retiring in 2006.
Patricia had a natural talent for art, and loved to draw and paint all her life, leaving behind wonderful paintings and sketchbooks full of drawings for the family to enjoy. She also sewed, making clothes for her daughter when she was younger, and making throw blankets which she gave to family. Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kosse.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Letitia Fraley and brother Michael Fraley.
She is survived by her daughter, Alyshia Newkirk of Kosse; three granddaughters; four great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Amadeo “Ed” and Diane Fraley of Kosse; one niece and one nephew; one great niece and two great nephews; and one great niece “on the way.”
