Rebecca Ann McLane, of Waco but previously of Old Union, passed away in Waco on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at age 78.
She will be interred on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Cox Cemetery in a private service.
Rebecca was born December 30, 1943 in Silsbee, TX. to Robert Lee Yawn and Sue Ethel Williams Yawn.
Rebecca was married to Lloyd McLane, and was a housewife. She and Lloyd had moved to the Old Union area in 1996 from Arizona.
Rebecca cared very much about her pets. She loved horses and had participated in rodeos in her youth. She continued to love horses all her life and took such good care of one that it lived to be 36 years old. She and Lloyd also gave a home to rescue dogs.
She enjoyed playing the piano from a young age and played the piano at church services. She was a member of the Baptist church. Although her family did not live close, her great grandsons did come to visit her in Texas, and she kept in touch by telephone.
Her husband Lloyd preceded her in death in 2017, and she had residing at Brookdale Lake Brazos in Waco.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Julie McLane of Chugaik, Alaska; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Heather (McLane) and Jeff Reed of Eagle River, Alaska; granddaughter, Shelby Reed of Palmer, Alaska; great grandsons, Jared Reed and David Reed of Palmer, Alaska; and great-great grandson, Thomas Reed.
