Robert Perry Broome

Robert Perry Broome passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Waco, TX at age 74.

Robert was born August 1, 1949, in Madera, California, to Robert Perry Broome and Jaqueline (Combs) Broome.    He grew up in Fresno and graduated from Fresno High School in 1967.   He then attended Fresno Junior College and Fresno State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. 

He began work for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department in the jail, where he continued working for twenty-eight years, until he retired. 

He was united in marriage with Gail Elizabeth Flautz in Fresno, CA, in 1974.  They continued living in Fresno, until 2022, when they moved to Texas to be near his children.  

Robert was preceded in death by parents. 

He is survived by his wife, Gail Broome; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Christine; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and another on the way.
