Ronnie Dean Lenamond, of Old Union, passed away Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at Baylor Scott and White – Hillcrest in Waco, at the age of 77.
Graveside services will be held at the Pavilion at Old Union Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Ronnie Dean was born on November 24, 1945, to Arnold and Suzie (Shriver) Lenamond at the homestead in Rocky Point.
Ronnie Dean married his wife, Rita Ann on June 3, 1967, and they spent 55 years together.
Ronnie Dean worked many years at Limestone County Road and Bridge, where he met multiple life-long friends. He later retired to become a full-time rancher and tended to his cattle while having more time to spend with his family and friends. He enjoyed making his rounds every morning, which included eating breakfast at the Lake Limestone Store before heading to check his cows and check-in with his grandchildren. Ronnie Dean’s world revolved around his grandchildren; they loved each other deeply. He was a loving, caring and kind man. He was known to go out of his way for anyone in need, and he never met a stranger.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rita Ann Lenamond; also, his brothers, Doug Lenamond and Raymond (Pee Wee) Lenamond; brothers-in-law, Chesley Masters and J.B. Lown; nephews, Dezzy Lenamond and Trent Lenamond, niece, Dolly Jo (DJ) Lenamond, great niece, Laney Lenamond, and great nephew, Brenton Lenamond.
He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Lenamond and Tina Spivey as well as her husband Ronny Spivey; his grandchildren, Bailey Spivey and Bradey Spivey, or as he called them, Agnes and Dobber. He is also survived by his brothers, James (Buddy) Lenamond, Adam (Skinner) Lenamond, and Jimmy and wife Lavaughn Lenamond. As well as Billie Masters and Sue Nettles. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
