Silvina Ortiz Ruiz

Silvina Ortiz Ruiz of Groesbeck passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Limestone Medical Center at the age of 63.

A Rosary/visitation will be held at the family’s home in Groesbeck, 2043 HWY 14 North on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 7 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Mexia with Father Benjie officiating.  Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Mexia City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Genaro Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez, San Juana Gonzalez, Refugio Gonzalez, Adan Gonzalez, Genaro Gonzalez, Rodrigo Gonzalez, Florencia Sanchez and Bruno Gonzalez.

Silvina was born December 28, 1956 in San Luis de La Paz, GTO Mexico to Jose Ortiz and Guadalup Ruiz.  Silvina was married to Genaro Gonzalez on April 3, 1974 in San Luis de La Paz GTO Mexico.  She grew up in Mexico and later moved to Groesbeck.  Silvina loved spending time with her family and she will be missed by many near and far.

She is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Noe Ortiz and Izidro Ortiz.

She is survived by her husband, Genaro Gonzalez of Groesbeck; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodrigo and Hilda Gonzalez, Emilio and Guadalupe Gonzalez, Refugio and Delfina Gonzalez, Genaro and Evangelina Gonzalez, Adan and Josefina Gonzalez, Bruno and Jaqueline Gonzalez and Raul and Alondra Gonzalez; daughters and sons-in-law, Eugenia and Ramiro Coronilla, Roasario and Rogelio Ibarra, Florencia and Hector Sanchez and San Juana Gonzalez and numerous grandchildren and extended family.
