Susan Lynne Houser

Susan Lynne "Susie" Houser, of Groesbeck, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at age 77.

A period of gathering and visitation for friends and family to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel.

Susan was born September 4, 1947 to Lyman Cecil Shaffer and Naomi (Poling) Shaffer in Sidney, Ohio.  During a period of time in her childhood, she lived in the "castle" in Sidney. 

Susie was acquainted with many people in Groesbeck as the owner of the convenience store on the corner of Hwy. 14 and Hwy 164.  

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Shaffer; son, Brian Allen Houser in 1980; brother, Jim Shaffer; and husband, Roger Houser in 2023.

She is survived by sons Robert Doug Yoakum and Brad Houser; sisters, Mary Mullens, Lisa Rahe and Carina Smallwood; and brothers, William Gilbert and Todd Shaffer, all of Ohio.
