Terry Don Pelton

Terry Don Pelton, of Kosse, passed away at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, on Monday, March 3, 2025, at age 56.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Fort Parker Memorial Park Cemetery Pavilion, with Larry Ballou officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dean Mills, Joel Wells, Jonathan Hawkins, Sergio Arrendondo, Roger Ray, Kabrien Strain, Keith Sherrod, and Kerry Evans.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Pelton, Berry Pelton, Donnie Mathis, Clay Mathis, Treyden Pelton, Zayden Pelton, George Rasco, Kyzer Evans, Karsyn Pelton, Kaiden Pelton, Kaisyn Evans, Ma’Kya Wells, John Hawkins, Willi Washington, Bryson Rice, Draylin Rice, Chris Qualley, and Brayden White.

Terry Don was born August 10, 1968, to Joe Thomas Pelton and Rose Mary Beck Pelton, in Marlin. He grew up in Groesbeck where he attended school.

Terry Don was a truck driver all his adult life, driving locally for various owners including Sonny Yates, Eddie Ray Truett, and Joe Neason. He loved hunting, fishing, and his grandkids. He was their biggest fan, never missing any sports events in which they were involved. Terry Don enjoyed many close friendships and loved getting together with a large group of family and friends, where he and Nikki would BBQ, and everyone would sit outside talking and listening to music. He had not been able to work or be as active since his health declined after a heart attack in 2019.

Terry Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kent; grandparents, Ednie and Dorothy Beck and Lillie Mae Pelton; and uncle, Bobby Gene Pelton.

He is survived by his daughters, Nikki Pelton, Amanda Pelton and her husband, Kerry Evans, and Jennifer Molina and husband Tomas; and grandchildren, Travion Thomas, Zayden Pelton, Kaiden Pelton, Karsyn Pelton, Kyzer Evans, Sophia Molina, Marcus Molina, Jazmin Molina, Lillian Molina, and Carlos Molina.

Pamela Pelton was his former wife and mother of his daughters. He leaves behind brothers, Jerry Pelton, Berry Pelton, Keith Sherrod and wife Kay, and two sisters, Sherri Cordova and partner Willie Washington, and Verri Pelton and husband Eric Capetillo; and aunts and uncles, Becky and John Hawkins, Betty and Dewey LaFoy, and Honey and Wesley Suttle and their kids.

Best friends were Dean and Renee Mills and their kids, Joel Wells, George Dyess, George and Terri Rasco and daughter, Roxy Rasco, and Chris and Jessica Qualley.
