Timothy "Benny" Benjamin Shaunfield

Timothy Benjamin “Benny” Shaunfield passed away at Scott and White Hospital in Temple on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2020, at age 67.

Due to the Covid 19 virus restraints at this time, a Celebration of his life will be held next year on Memorial Day, May 29, 2021.  Details will be announced closer to that date.

Benny was born January 1, 1953 in Houston to Enoch Wesley Shaunfield and Melba L. Shaunfield.  His parents and brothers Randy Shaunfield and Miles Shaunfield have preceded him in death.

Benny retired from NRG Energy, where he was a planner, in 2016. 

Benny was a member of the Groesbeck Masonic Lodge #354.   He was currently serving as President of the East Lake Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.  Hunting and fishing with family and friends were his life-long passions.

Benny is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Heather Dean Shaunfield and their children, Brylee and Bryson; and his daughter and son-in-law,  Jill and Marcus Smail and their son Wesley.   Also by his wife Cindy Shaunfield and her son, James Collins, and her daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Ryan Hargrave and their children, Luke and Cole.
