Timothy "Tim" Elwin Walker

Timothy Elwin “Tim” Walker, of Groesbeck, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, at age 72.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery (Donie), with services conducted by Glenn Shoemaker.

Pallbearers will be Gary Beard, Richard Ponce, Keith Tilley, Adam Fitte and Glenn Shoemaker. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Stevens, Don Koenig and Chris Carrell.

Tim was born on May 14, 1952, to Marshall Elwin Walker and Mary H. (Cook) Walker. He grew up in Groesbeck and later in Teague, where he graduated from high school around 1970. He attended Sam Houston State University for four years.

Tim worked for the City of Groesbeck, first as a night watchman and then at the city water plant.

Tim was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother, Kenneth Jarrell Walker; and friend, Paul Fitte (10/9/2022.)

He is survived by his friends and former co-workers, including Debra and her family and Rosemary Thomas and her family, who have all been as supportive of Tim as if they were family.
