Wanda Darlene Klonaris

Wanda Darlene Klonaris, of Forney, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at age 69.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Groesbeck Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Taylor, III, Jason Payton, Jack Taylor, Jr., Adonis Villarreal, Johnathan Eason, and Anthony Klonaris. David Payton will be an Honorary Pallbearer.

Darlene was born July 21, 1951 to Jesse Loper and Louise Loper Cooper in Pasadena. She grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1971.

Darlene lived in Texas most of her life but did spend 13 years up on the East Coast in New York state and Pennsylvania with her 2nd husband Nick.

Married Nicolas A. Klonaris on November 7, 1982 and they were together just shy of 20 years when he passed away in February 2002.

She was general manager of Triple B Cleaning, a commercial cleaning company in Dallas for many years.

Darlene was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, having been initiated into Groesbeck Chapter #810 in September 2002, and served in various offices until she moved to the Garland area. She became a Plural Member in Garland Chapter #156, serving as Worthy Matron in 2015-2016, and in Mesquite Chapter #887, serving as Worthy Matron at the time of her passing. Darlene also held several state offices including Grand Page to Grand Electa in 2015-2016. She had such a love for Eastern Star and cherished her title as Chapter Sweetheart for Garland Chapter.

She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 521 in Pasadena, American Cancer Society Relay for Life of South East Harris County, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution and member of Oletha Baptist Church.

She was married to James Beasley on May 5, 2018 and they lived in Forney, TX at the time of her passing.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Nicolas A. Klonaris on 2/8/2002; and three brothers, Lonnie R. Loper, Cecil Loper, and Jesse Don Loper; sister, Brenda Carole Loper and brother, Baby Loper; and great granddaughter, Melody R. Ellis-Payton.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie K. and David Payton of La Porte and daughter and son-in-law, Shanna R. and Jack Taylor, Jr. of Pasadena; grandsons, Jack W. Taylor III and girlfriend, Deisy Sanchez of Pasadena and Jason S. Payton of La Porte; niece, Sharitha D. Loper of Pasadena; sister-in-law, Carmen Loper of Houston; stepson, Anthony Klonaris of Hockley; stepdaughter, Maria Smith and husband T.J. of Llano; stepgrandchildren, Amelia Kozielski and Michael of Kilgore and Madison Dennis of Garden; and husband #1, William “Randy” George and her wife-in-law Laura of LaPorte.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Eastern Star charity Patriot Paws Service Dogs, with checks payable to "Grand Chapter of Texas", and mailed to Mrs. Jimmie Lee McMahon, 614 N. Main Street, Duncanville, Texas 75116

Donations can also be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of South East Harris County under the team name “Treyson’s Ahmee”.
